2016OPENCHAMPIONSHIPREPORTThe Light River Rifle Club held our annual open championship on Saturday 9thJanuary2016. Theweatherwas relatively good for a change, after some40degCperiodspriortoChristmas.Thetemperatureonthedaygotupto34degCandwindswere light in themorning, getting up to 10 to 15mph in the afternoon, from thenorth.Therewasagoodattendance,with53shooterstakingpart–13Agrade,14Bgrade,5Cgradersand7FOpenwith14FStandard.CongratulationstoPaulSavagefromPortPirieRC,whowonthecompetitionwithascoreof146.13.ItwasgreattoseeaLightRivershooterwinBgrade,whichwastakenoutbyDickSpillmanwithascoreof141.06–welldone.Paul Savage alsowon the Open Championship Badge, with the highest score as apercentage of the possible score. Thiswas open to all disciplines. Resultswere asfollows:
