Report LRRC_OPM_Rpt_2016.docx Page 1 LIGHT RIVER RIFLE CLUB INC. 2016 OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP REPORT The Light River Rifle Club held our annual open championship on Saturday 9 th January 2016. The weather was relatively good for a change, after some 40 deg C periods prior to Christmas. The temperature on the day got up to 34 deg C and winds were light in the morning, getting up to 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon, from the north. There was a good attendance, with 53 shooters taking part – 13 A grade, 14 B grade, 5 C graders and 7 F Open with 14 F Standard. Congratulations to Paul Savage from Port Pirie RC, who won the competition with a score of 146.13. It was great to see a Light River shooter win B grade, which was taken out by Dick Spillman with a score of 141.06 – well done. Paul Savage also won the Open Championship Badge, with the highest score as a percentage of the possible score. This was open to all disciplines. Results were as follows:
