were launched during Learn Smart Pakistan 2016 throughout the academic year.
During the Summer Challenge, students studied topics they had already studied in school.
Students were most active during the Summer Challenge.
During the Micro-Challenges, students were provided with topics they hadn't studied in school yet. They were asked to take learning videos and then take assess-
ments of topics they would soon be studying in school.
Micro-Challenges varied in duration from 2 days to 10 days.
During the Fall Challenge, students were provided with topics they had to study after summer-break, i.e. the topics during the Fall Challenge coincided with the
topics they were studying at school.
The Fall Challenge lasted for 8 weeks.
During the Winter Challenge, students were provided an online test series and digital past papers to revise for their board exams.
The Winter Challenge ended on Feb 5, 2017.

Improvement of a student is determined by subtracting the last attempt
score (%) from the first attempt score (%). Quartiles of students are
made by dividing students on the basis of their first attempts across all
attempted assessments. The data is inclusive of positive results, zero
results and negative results. Improvement is determined in percentage
points.
The improvement was highest for lowest performing students, and
comparatively lower for highest performing students. This indicates that
Learn Smart Pakistan has been more beneficial for below average or
average students.

Student Testimonials
Nida RiazTeacher, IMCG F-10/2
Through Learn Smart Pakistan, Knowledge Platform has allowed students and teachers the opportunity to negate the concept of rote learning and enlighten the minds of students via the use of innovative technologies. It has also introduced new pedagogic techniques that we can apply to our classrooms to improve learning outcomes.
Shahzad MalikTeacher, Modern Language School
Learn Smart Pakistan has opened dynamic doorways for teaching and set a new baseline for all educationists and education-based platforms. The content is comprehensive, focused and relevant which is one of the biggest advantages of the system.
Fatima Tariq Student, IMCG F-10/2
It’s such a creative way of learning. I’ve become more interested in my studies, and the focus on ‘social challenges’ has really helped bring out my creative side. I also find my vocabulary has increased. Most importantly, I feel like I’ve learned the lesson that learning is more fun than winning though Learn Smart Pakistan.
Arooj Usmani Student, IMCG Korang Town
Today, I opened my English text book and was just about to write the meanings of dicult words for vacation homework and I suddenly felt like I knew each and every word! It was just because of all the assessments I took on Learn Smart Pakistan during summer challenge and because of the Sheep Run Sheep Game which I played continuously for three days. Thank you Knowledge Platform for everything. Thanks for this beautiful platform and I will continue participating.
Muhammad Waleed Student, Siddeeq Public School
I’d like to thank Knowledge Platform for developing an app like Learn Smart Pakistan. It helped me overcome my laziness and jump start my brain. I was so bored reading the books and doing the assignments. Thanks #LSP2016!
Yusra Nadir Student, Siddeeq Public School
For me, the most amazing aspect of this challenge is how it not only tries, but succeeds in creating a virtual classroom environment. Just like in a classroom, we can ask our teachers questions and can communicate freely with our friends; Learn Smart Pakistan oers us the same feeling. Usually, students don't completely understand the questions they are given and answer according to whatever they have rote learned, without getting the concept at all. This is a major prob-lem, not only, in Pakistan but throughout the world. Knowledge Platform’s attempt to root out the problem and create a whole program to resolve this issue and clear the mathematical and linguistic concepts of students, is commendable! I can't remember how many times I was too lazy to open the book and just saw a video on LSP app instead to get the concept!
