KONDININ ART EXHIBITION
It is almost here again!! The Official Opening is Friday 11th
October, 7:30pm –
9:30pm, and the art can be viewed from Saturday 12th
through to Wednesday

Your support would again be appreciated.
On Tuesday 15th
there are three groups of Senior Citizens (from Bruce Rock,
Corrigin & Narembeen) visiting. The groups will also be having lunch at CC’s.
Extra helpers would be appreciated on this day to assist with their viewing of
the artworks & also possibly the walk to CC’s.
Please contact Janet Repacholi for any information on the above. Ann Smoker
will be seeking assistance with the setting up of the Hall during the week
leading up to the Opening so please offer to help if you have time.

SHIRE OF KONDININ - 2013 ELECTION
Notice is hereby given that Local Government Elections will be held on Saturday 19th October 2013 (election day) to fill five (5) vacancies of Councillor for the Shire of Kondinin. Six (6) candidates have nominated for the election as follows and will appear on the Ballot Paper in the following order: Gerard Lynch Allen Smoker Sue Meeking Bruce Browning Steve Jones Lindsay Tuckwell Polling Places are: Kondinin Shire Office Hyden Shire Office 11 Gordon Street 12 McPherson Street Kondinin Hyden Voting: On the Ballot Paper electors / voters are asked to place a tick in the box next to each of the candidates they want to elect. You may choose up to five (5) candidates. Any extra ticks will make your vote invalid. Voting Details: Vote at a polling place on election day, between 8.00am and 6.00pm. ♦ An early vote can be cast between now and 4.00pm on Friday, 18 October 2013 at the
offices of the Local Government during normal office hours and the other place or places (if any) during the hours set out in the Schedule below.
♦ An absent vote can be cast between now and 4.00pm on Tuesday, 15 October 2013 at the offices of any other Local Government during normal office hours.
♦ A postal vote can be obtained by application. Completed postal votes must be returned in the reply paid envelopes provided and received by the Returning Officers by 6.00pm on election day, Saturday, 19 October 2013.

workshop this Saturday at the Lesser Hall.
Gillian will demonstrate some fine art techniques, respond to any questions and
will also take a walk with the group around the hall giving a critical appraisal of a
selection of pieces.
The workshop is free. All very welcome.

Congratulations to Gary Biglin who took out the prize on the Club’s opening day on Sunday
6th October with 74½ points closely followed by Jim West on 70½ and John Read on 70.
There will be another club day on Sunday 13 October. Don’t forget to get down to the green
and join in for scroungers on Friday nights from 5pm.

Cat Act 2011
As from 1st November 2013, it will be a requirement for cat owners to have their
cats of 6 months old and over sterilised and microchipped and then registered with
their local government as the Cat Act 2011 comes into full effect. Please note that
the cat cannot be registered with local government unless a sterilization and
microchip certificate can be shown.
