Project OverviewThis project is the first project in a multiple-phased approach to the entire Central Air conditioning system at the facility. The final capacity upon completion of the additional phases of the Chiller Plant will be 3600 tons of chilled water per hour. The installation the New Plant will address requirements of the Medical Center for future needs bridging the gap of aged equipment. The project will provide temperature monitoring at the central power plant and remotely control individual rooms by IP address also included is a robust industrial control system interfaced with the building master system and still providing local control to all rooms. The new chiller plant (Phase 1) will provide a minimum of 50% of overall needed capacity and will allow for the gradual replacement of aging equipment located in Building 1 and existing buildings attached to Building 1 of the Medical Campus..

Current Status: October 2015~ Foundations have been completed~ Structural Steel has been completed ~ Appurtenances ladders and stairs etc. pending.~ Utility connections have been completed~ Plant under final system completion~ CMU and Brick façade of Parapet being installed~ Field testing scheduled to begin next week~ Final testing pending shutdown schedule approval.
