DISCUSSION YAMMER (OFFICE 365)
We will be reading this book throughout the summer and discussing it online via the Yammer app. According to Gladwell, great men and women are beneficiaries of specialization, collaboration, time, place, and culture. An outlier’s recipe for success is not personal mythos but the synthesis of opportunity and time on task. The purpose of this book is to build an understanding of the common factors that contribute to high achievement in diverse fields.
Yammer Instructions
Yammer is a social media app offered through Office 365 with your student account. You participate by posting and replying to comments just as you would do in other social media platforms.
Below are the instructions of how to log on and connect:
1. Go to: https://portal.office.com 2. Username: [student ID #]@leusd.k12.ca.us
Password: 8-‐digit birthdate (example: July 4, 1776 = 07041776) 3. Click on the box labeled Yammer (above) 4. Search/Request to join the group: IB History of the Americas
5. For convenience, there is also a Yammer app that you should be able to load on your phone and/or iPad.
