How to Get started with
• Go to www.slideshare.net
• Click on the “Sign up”link at the top where you will create a username, provide your email address, create a password, and choose the account type (such as school/university, business, etc.)
• Then click Join now
• You will then be asked to provide some information…when it asked for your website or blog and you don’t have one…just put in your PBWorks site (http://slidesharesdaniels.pbworks.com/)
It will then direct you to find your friends… which you can skip
Now you are ready to Upload!
Just click on browse and select files and a box will pop up for you to choose the powerpoint,
PDF, or document you want to upload
Supported FormatsPresentations: pdf, ppt, pps, pptx, ppsx, pot, potx (Powerpoint); odp
(OpenOffice); key, zip (Apple Keynote). Documents: pdf, doc, docx, rtf, xls (MSOffice); odt, ods(OpenOffice);
Apple iWork Pages.Videos: Read FAQs for supported formats & codecs.
Max file size: 100MB for presentations & documents, 500MB for videos.
• Once you upload the document, you can choose the settings (public or private), give it a title, tag it, and give a description
• Then just click Publish..it takes a few minutes
• It is saved on the slideshare site or you can embed it
The embed code is on the right…just copy and paste to your webpage,
blog, or Wiki
