This course is an overview of languages, stories and cultural practices of Indigenous peoples in the Americas. Some things we will learn are:

• Myths, trickster stories, and cosmology • The role of indigenous culture in contemporary society, culture and identity • Linguistic families and languages in the Americas • Some fascinating particularities of language families and languages native to the Americas • The role of language revitalization in preserving Indigenous peoples identity
