Friday, April 19th - Lunch Buffet at Delta Steak House in Senatobia at 11:00 AM
Hey folks, I hope you’re having a wonderful week, and that you’re looking forward to our celebration of the Resurrection of our Lord this Sunday!!!! It was on that Sunday morning, that the greatest gift possible was made availa-ble to humanity. If you’re a believer, then you’ve received this gift. It’s the gift of eternal salvation, and it’s a gift that should be shared with others around us. If you know someone who needs to hear the Gospel (and I imagine we all do), then bring them to church this Sunday. Just ask and see what happens. You have no idea what might be going on at that particular moment in time in their lives, and they may be ripe to hearing the truth. Do your part, and bring them to church. And do one more thing…pray for our services this week….that believers might be encouraged, and that unbelievers might give their hearts to Jesus. This is what church is all about. Be here Sunday, and do your best to bring someone with you. Love you all, Bro. Chris
UPCOMING DATES FOR KIDS
YOUTH NEWS
I hope that you had the opportunity to attend the Chancel’s Choir presentation of “Cornerstone.” I so appreciate the hours of rehearsal that the Chancel Choir invested into this night of worship. We work hard to get pitches, rhythms, phrasing and so much more correct but I so appreciate they way they put their heart and soul into the message they are singing. I appreciate Terry Schumann and Mary Tindle for their work in sound and video. Thank you! And our ac-companists who put in so much extra time in to preparing for last night. We are very blessed as a church and I am very blessed to have the opportunity and privilege to lead on a night like this. Choir is one of my greatest blessings and as we celebrate 150 years of ministry as a church, it is a great opportunity to thank those who gave of themselves in order to see the music ministry flourish over the years. We have a rich heritage of Music Ministry at First Baptist and there are many who have invested in the ministry over the years. Farley Earnest and Clay Moore are two who invested years into our Music Ministry. Many others have invested in our Music Ministry as both leaders and members. It will be a joy sharing our 150th Anniversary with these men and previous mem-bers. If you have participated in choir in the past, we are having a special 150th Anniversary Choir and will share two songs during our special Anniversary service. If you are interested in joining this choir, please contact me and I will share more information. On April 28th, the combined Children’s Choirs will be presenting a “Not So Terrible Parable.” This is a great fun musical with a great message. I hope you will come and support our children at 6:00 pm. See you Sunday as we celebrate our Savior! He Is Risen! Randy
