1.Insertthepowercableintothebattery

TheFalconmustbeoperatingwhenyouadjusttheeyepiecefocusfortheuser.

2.EyepieceadjustmenttoolsEachFalconsystemincludeseithera‘Torx’wrench(T8)withalongmetalshaft(differentfromthebluePhilipsScrewdriver),orashortredmoldedtool.

3.InserttheeyepieceadjustmenttoolintothefocusaccessportonthesideoftheFalconOnceinsertedyoucanrotatethetooltomovetheeyepieceinorout.Focusingtheeyepiece‘in’correctsformyopia,‘out’forhyperopia.Theadjustableeyepiecewillcorrectforrefractiveerrorupto+/-8D.

4.PositioningtheeyepieceTheindentedring(redarrow)ontheblackeyepiecewhentouchingthecase(greenarrow)isapproximatelytheneutralfocus(plano)position.

5.Setthefocustoinfinitybypressingthefocusover-ridebuttonPressandholdthefocusover-ridebuttonfor2secondsuntiltheFalconchangesitsfocustoinfinityandholdsinplace.Thefocusmaynotyetappearcleartothepatient.

6.Settingtheeyepiecefocus1. HaveyourpatientlookthroughtheFalconeyepieceatatarget

morethan30feet(9m)away.Lookingthroughawindowisacceptable.

2. Rotatetheadjustmenttooltomovetheeyepieceinoroutuntiltheimageisassharpaspossibleforthepatient.

3. Reactivateautofocusingbypressingthefocusover-ridebuttonverybrieflyandconfirmthatthefocusisproperatalldistances.Readjustfocusifrequired.

4. Removetheeyepiecefocusadjustmenttoolbeingcarefultonotrotateit.

7.LocktheeyepieceandclosethefocusportWhendispensingtheFalcontoyourpatient,usetheAllenwrenchtotightenthesetscrewtolocktheeyepieceinplace.Turnituntilitisdifficulttoturn.Remembertoloosenitifyouneedtore-adjusttheeyepiecefocus.Closethefocusaccessportbyinsertingtheplugprovided.ItcanbeeasilyremovediftheFalconeyepieceneedstobere-adjusted.
