Interviews about Pride and Prejudice.
EVA: “I enjoyed this book because I like romantic books. The
novel is set in the 19th century and while I was reading it I was
imagining those dresses and those houses.”
PILAR:” When a book has a happy ending I feel good. Then I
am absolutely fascinated. I found the book quite difficult and I
wrote a lot of words on a piece of paper to remember them.”
CARMEN:” This year Ana, my teacher, told us that we had to
read a book with more than 2000 words. This book is upper-
intermediate and when I read another of intermediate level
with 1800 words I looked up only a few words, this is much
more difficult but I enjoyed it.”

Pride and Prejudice
Chapter7. Mr Collins makes a proposal of marriage.
Mr Collins had decided to do it without delay, he began in a
very orderly manner with all the ceremony.
He addressed the mother in these words:
“May I hope, madam, to speak privately with your lovely
daughter Elizabeth?”
Mrs Bennet said she was sure that Lizzy could have no
objection, but she didn´t want to go, then her mother
compelled her. Mr Collins began his proposal with 3 reasons.
Elisabeth cried that he was in too much of a hurry and Mr
Collins replied that it was usual for young ladies to refuse the
man whom they secretly mean to accept.
Elisabeth cried again: “I am perfectly serious I my refusal”
