FYI: Registration
A Section Campus (CMP) that states ‘O’ - indicates the section is either HYBRID, ONLINE or OFF CAMPUS. Do not register for that section if you are not comfortable in that learning environment.
CMP that states ‘M’ - indicates the class meets on the Main Campus.
CMP RRC—indicates that the section meets at Round Rock Campus. If
you are not willing to travel, do not register for that section.
Notice that MGT 3353 & MGT 3453 labs are assigned to specific lectures.
Verify BOTH the lecture and the lab work with your class schedule.
Closed Class Request forms will be found on the Management website under the Student Information tab -> Closed Class Request. There is a
form for Summer 2017 Closed Class and one for Fall 2017 Closed Class.
For summer registration only:
Students eligible to graduate in August 2017 must have special approval to register for MGT 4335. You MUST HAVE ALL credits completed or
registered for BEFORE APPLYING FOR SPECIAL APPROVAL.
Submit the Special Approval form by visiting the Management website, clicking on ‘Student Information’, then on ‘Special Approval.’
Allow 2-3 business days for a response to your request. A staff member from
our office will email your Texas State email address.

Dr. Mike Keeffe
Currently teaching MGT 4335— Strategic Management and
Business Policy
Teaching Interests: Strategic Management Business Policy Management Strategy Executive Leadership Organizational Analysis & Performance Management/Business History
Dr. Keeffe has been teaching for 35+ years and began his career at Southwest Texas State in 1977, left and returned in 1986. His final semester will be Spring 2019.
Did you know that Dr. Keeffe previously served from 1996 to 2000 as Chair of the Department of Management and Marketing? He then went on to serve from Jan 2002 to Oct 2004 as Acting Chair for the Department of Management. And then served June 2006 to Sept 2007, as the Acting Chair for the Department of Marketing.
Did you know that Dr. Keeffe served almost 4 years in the US Army, most of it as an East-West Border Guard?
He also developed and initiated the Assurance of Learning (AOL) Program for the McCoy College and served as AOL committee chair for over 10 years.
Dr. Keeffe also served as co-coordinator for McCoy College’s initial AACSB Accreditation with Dr. Larry Patterson of the Marketing Department.
