SAFETY PHOTOELECTRIC (P.E.) CELLSThe automatic door operator has two (2) sets of safety P.E. cellsfitted across the doorway. Each set is comprised of a transmitter
and a receiver. One (1) set is positioned at approximately 150mm from floor leveland other at 600mm from floor level. These are designed to prevent the door fromclosing on a person or object that is stationary in the doorway. The safety P.E. cellswork in all modes. The safety P.E. cells can be turned off in ‘LOCK’ mode for securityreasons upon request. Note: Breaking the safety P.E. beams whilst the doors arelocked will not open the door.

MALFUNCTIONThe automatic door operator will automatically analyse information being fed to itand if it determines that the door is not operating to set parameters i.e. the door isstalled or jammed it will shut off power to the motor to avoid any major fault fromoccurring.
