Takeaway drink containers : Design ideas

• Using the internet research food packaging containers for takeaway drinks• Look at the size and shape of the containers• the colour and design used• do they have lids, straws• how do they cope with hot and cold

• Copy images of the different ideas into a word document – record the source of all information (this does not mean Google images is the source, you should copy the URL)

Biodegradable cups• PLA plastic glasses are made from

corn sugar and are fully biodegradable and compostable. The PLA lined paper cups can be used for hot or cold drink

• PLA stands for Poly Lactic Acid and is the chemical name of a plastic made from corn, an annually renewable resource.

• 100% Biodegradable and Compostable At the end of life, PLA based products can be recycled or composted under commercial composting conditions 90% within 60 days and the balance within 90 days.
