Data Centers
Dallas–Fort Worth is located in a near-perfect geographic region for IT hosting and data center operation from the Central Time Zone: the workday is extended for companies operating on both coasts. DFW’s temperate climate and low risk of natural disaster help minimize construction and operation costs.
It’s no coincidence that Dallas–Fort Worth is considered a major Internet “peering point.” Both speed and reliability are important for any IT operation, and high-speed fiber connectivity is plentiful in the area. Compared to other peering-point cities, DFW has some of the lowest power rates for large industrial users.
