MDG Localization
Local Government Units (LGUs) have significant roles toplay in the realization of the MDGs. The achievement ofthe MDG targets for most part relies on the delivery ofdevolved basic services.
In the region, D
ILG together with PopCom and NED
Aconducted orientation activities on MDG localization to
the different agencies and LGUs.
LGUs were also provided technical assistance indeveloping strategies that contribute to theachievement of the MDG targets.
Poverty mapping activities conducted by LGUs with theassistance of NGOs were implemented by OrientalNegros, Cebu City and Bohol.
