1) Togetyoustarted,usetheresourcesitesonthefollowingpage,aswellasbooks,toresearchavarietyofcultureswheremasksareprominent.

2) Onceyouhaveresearchedeachculture,chooseanareaandaculturetoexplorefurther3) Completethe“CulturalMaskResearchOrganizer”worksheet.Thisisthebasisofthe

informationyouwillpresent.Alsocollectseveralimagestouseinyourpresentation.4) CompileyourresearchedinformationandimagesontheGoogleSlidestemplatethatwas

sharedwithyouviaemail.5) Openthetemplate,makeacopyandrenameitas“YourLastName-YourCulture”.6) Inthenewtemplateaddyourowndetailsandimages.Besureyourpresentationisatleast3

PartII:YourMaskPlanUsinginspirationfromtheclasspresentations,plusanyofyourownideasorpersonalcreativeresponses,youwillsketchatleast3differentideasforyourownmask,thendoafinalcolordrawing.

PartIII:TheCreationofYourMaskThebaseofyourmaskwillbecreatedfromPlasterTape.Youhave2choices:

1) Workwithapartneranduseyourfacetoformthebaseofyourmask.Thiswillfityourfaceperfectly,andisasafeprocessifyoufollowthestepsdemonstrated.

2) Useafaceform.Thiswillnotfityourfacethesame,butwillstillendingoodresults.Lastly,youwillbuildonto,paint,andembellishyourmaskinanywaythatfitsintoyouridea.
