This project is a field to train participant talents and creativity through mask making.
The lecturers and students involved with a number of individuals will come together to share with participants (public) in the mask making workshop where it’s will involve creativity and critical thinking. The workshop will be launch and realize at selected place (Craft Studio Sekolah Kebangsaan Seksyen 27 (2), Shah Alam, Selangor).
The participants also learn about practical techniques such as the production of costumes, arts, artistic event.
Main focus is to develop and expose value of cultures to the participants through mask making workshop.
In addition, the workshop contained a worthwhile entry in addition to train the participants to have a high aesthetic value of craft products. Hence, it is also provided a new set of skills which enhance their future.
A class with 30 to 50 participants which facilitate by 3 to 5 instructors
(UTAR’s student) for each session. Minimum of 4 sessions which
requires participants to undergo four phases as follows.
Each session was programmed to be fulfills by the candidates. The first
session require the candidates to focus on face casting.
The instructor will show some demonstration of it. On the next stage,
they will require to produce a mould. Somehow, it will need a few
times to get this mould ready.
As for the next stage, the candidates will be assists on producing the
mask. This process will be continuation to decoration part. At the end
of the finishing process, masks will be exhibition to the open public.
PHASES INVOLVE IN THIS ACTIVITIES.
PHASE 1- DEMONSTRATION, PRODUCE A
NEGATIVE.
PHASE 2 - PRODUCE A MOULD.
PHASE 3 - SKETCHING AND DESIGN.
PHASE 4 - COLOURING, DECORATION AND
FINISHING PROCESS.
PHASE 1 – INTRODUCTION SESSION & PRODUCE A NEGATIVE
The initial step in which participants will learn the process face
negative earning. In this stage participants will be exposed to a
demonstration production.
PHASE 2 – PRODUCE A MOULD
Process producing mould. The mould will be engraved and washed
until it is ready to process phase third. Participants will be encouraged
to start their masks each based on ideas and concepts given.
PHASE 4 – COLOURING AND FINISHING
(DECORATION)
Apply color to a mask. At the end of the finishing process, revenue
collected masks and displayed for evaluation and documentation.
Provide a space for participants to develop their mind
creatively and critically.
Shaping the minds to be more accurate, creative and
innovative competitive in line with global trends.
Opportunity to understand creative industries as well as arts
performing.
Cultivate the art of cooperation and understanding among
participants.
It also as a social responsibility in order to educate the value of
art and culture among the participants.

Mask Making Workshop provide an opportunity for the participants to
learn more on the different type of cultures in the world.
As we can see, the participants has obtain a news set of skills that
can produce side income for them in different way by producing a
craft product creatively.
After all, The student who involved in management team has poses a
great experiences by organizing this event. They also are more
motivate to be as a great instructors in the upcoming event.
By producing this some kind of event, its helps to promote theater
subject to the students and public in theater performances directly
among the participant and also during the exhibition day.
Become a space capable creations remind a new generation of
creative fields possibly in UTAR.

Basically this event has improve their appreciation of arts an craft. Simultaneously thought them a bit about a various culture existed.
The development of creativity and critical thinking happens and improve in themselves.
Participants build a better relationship with each other.
Participants are provided an opportunity to present their mask on stage so they will have on-stage experience.
We really glad that many of them was really committed in this workshop and had produce their mask until final stages.
We would like to expand this kind of activities as our
serious objective in fostering an arts and culture to public.
We also try to create and develop a new ideas of
producing an arts event to guarantee an out number of
participation.
Regarding to the balance material, we will keep organize
a mask making workshop upward by promoting arts and
culture to others.
We keep thinking that this kind of activities has to go on.
Regarding as our government stand to promote an arts
and culture to the whole world.
