Peer Feedback
Peer Review
In this session of the peer review we had each groups final trailer played on the
projector and shown to the class. This enabled the class to view and give
feedback on the production work that they have viewed. This task gave use
feedback on what we needed to accomplish in order to move our trailer up in
grade boundaries and make it look more appealing for our audience. This also
gave us feedback on what our target audience which are teens and above
think of our trailer.
Sheets were handed out to the class to watch and rate the film trailer.
On this sheet this feedback sheet from the
class was presented to the class in order for
the class to give us feedback. In the top
section of shooting material the comments we
got from our peers was very positive. This
ranged from our working being proficient and
excellent.
In the second section editing our group trailer
in this case was seen as excellent.
Finally in the sound section our trailer was
seen as proficient and excellent.
These positive comments gave me and my
group members motivation and courage that
our trailer was good and satisfying for our
audience.
In the other section that plot, narrative and
themes comes under.
In the first question unfortunately the plot
wasn’t so clear to understand in their opinion.
A way in which we as a group could improve
our trailer and make everyone understand
what is going on, is to go through the scenes
we’ve decided to include in our trailer, step by
step and improve where seems to be unclear.
Or perhaps move the scenes around so it
could be made clearer. However the genre of
the film was very clear to understand in the
trailer. Also the target audience as well as
people wanting to see the film in cinema was
very positive.
The shooting material section the special
effects was seen as basic which was the
lowest tick box we as a group got. However
mise-en-scene and make-up and lighting was
seen as proficient. Finally using the
tripod, attention to framing and variety was
seen as excellent. The second part of editing
the selection and appropriate use of shot was
seen as excellent. Where as the selection and
appropriate use of captions was seen as
proficient. The last part of sound, the recording
and editing sound appropriately was seen as
proficient and appropriate sound of the forms
and convention was seen as excellent.
The plot, narrative and themes are relatively
positive apart from the part that says the genre
is not clear. In my opinion I disagree because
we showed forms and conventions of slasher
horrors for instance blood coming from the
throat and the killer.
This person was very kind and thought our
trailer was excellent and could be understood
very clearly. This makes us proud of our work.
