Choral Audition Requirements

READ CAREFULLY

REQUIREMENT #1 1. Be sure to read the Audition Instructions 2. Print and complete the Audition Information Form 3. Know the rehearsal dates and times of all the ensembles

REQUIREMENT #2 All AUDITIONEES

(non-majors interested in the Glees will participate in a vocal assessment at the first Glee rehearsal, no audition required)

1. Prepare and sing your voice part in A Boy and a Girl, mm. 14-24

(available as a pdf at http://performingarts.uncg.edu/current/ensemble-auditions) Also, available is a performance from youtube https://youtu.be/rpog3w98Tz0

2. Be prepared to sing your part of Eric Whitacre’s A Boy and a Girl at various dynamics and with various articulations.

3. In addition there will be sight-reading excerpt(s)

REQUIREMENT #3

ALL VOCAL MAJORS AND MINORS (In addition to Requirements #1 and #2, all vocal majors and minors will

complete Requirement #3)

1. Prepare a short solo (3 minutes or less) to be sung in the audition 2. Prepare your voice part in Sten Källman’s Peze Kafé, mm 27-34 and
