Checking if your tweet went through
The easiest way – Go to the blog site
• Go to the class blog site
• Look in the Twitter box on the left and check for your tweet.
• Scroll down and click “Load more Tweets” to get more if needed
• Keep loading more until you see a tweet that was sent before your tweet
If your tweet made it to the class blog site, I definitely have it.
A more complicated way – Through Twitter
Search for @2450fall2015 (or anything, actually) in the Twitter Search Bar
Click on “More Options Advance Search”
Under “People”, go to “Mentioning these accounts” and type @2450fall2015
Click “Search”
Now you see only the “Top” tweets, so…
Under “More Options,” choose “Tweets”
This shows all the tweets that @mention the class handleNow…
1. Look for your tweet. If you see, I got it.
If you don’t see it, …
2. Scroll down to load more tweets and keep looking. If you see, I got it.
Keep in mind, there are ~180-200 per lecture, so you might have to scroll for a while
3. If you keep scrolling and get to a tweet that was sent the day before your tweet, you can stop scrolling. Your tweet, if received, will now be on the webpage somewhere.
4. Next, try to “find” your @handle using the regular webpage search bar (like you are looking for a piece of text on the page). This will locate anything you sent.
If you see your tweet on the page, then I got it.
If you don’t see your tweet using any of these procedures, you can let me know.
NOTE: The first thing I will do is check by these procedures, so be thorough. Have a friend try to find it etc. Failing to put in the effort on your end just shifts the problem to others (i.e. me).
