Children withundiagnosed and untreated emotional health problems aremore likely to perform poorly in school, drop out of school, get in trouble with the law, have difficulty finding a job, anduse drugs. There is now substantial research showing that theearlier emotional health problems are detected and treated, the better children will do in the long run.
