Sometimes children who are experiencing emotional healthdifficulties have learned to hide their problems. Children withundiagnosed and untreated emotional health problems aremore likely to perform poorly in school, drop out of school, get in trouble with the law, have difficulty finding a job, anduse drugs. There is now substantial research showing that theearlier emotional health problems are detected and treated, the better children will do in the long run.

PARENT INFANT CENTER (PIC)PIC is a prevention and treatment program that provides psychotherapeuticservices to high-risk pregnant women, parents and their children from birththe age of three. Groups for parents of children who receive DBT treatment are an integral partof treatment.
