CELEBRATING CHRISTMAS AT
GREENHILL December has arrived and with it the preparations for
celebrating Christmas at our school.
We hope you can join us this festive season at some
of our forthcoming events.
WINTER SCHOOL CLOSURES
We always try to keep school open during the winter months. In extreme weather there can be occasional times when school closures are made
due to Health and Safety concerns.
At Greenhill Primary School all school closures are notified to local radio and reported on the
school website and through our Facebook page.

FROGS MEETING The next meeting of our Parents association is taking place at 7.15pm on
Tuesday 5th December at the Rose and Crown.
All parents are welcome to attend.

at 10.00 am (Dress Rehearsal), Monday 11th December at 6.00 p.m
and Tuesday 12th December at 6.00 p.m.

JUNIOR CAROL CONCERT
We are holding a Junior Carol concert at Bolton Road Methodist Church on
Wednesday 13th December 7 pm. Parents and friends are invited to attend, no
ticket is required. Children should arrive at 6.45 in school uniform
(a Santa hat may be worn if you have one)
Dinner Money for next half term is £73.60
Milk for the Spring Term is £9.00. If you would like your child to have milk please
return the form with payment by 11th December 2017
Sporting Success !
The football team have had a great start to the season.
We won our first 4 matches in the
school league and then proceeded to beat Cams Lane on
penalties in the cup !
Well done to all involved !
Mad Science
Our Mad Science club gets up and running on Tuesday 16th January.
I’m sure there will be lots of fun going on
with those crazy scientists !
CHRISTMAS FAIR
Our Christmas Fair is being held on Friday 8th December
at 6pm.
Please come along and support us as we celebrate Christmas and raise money
for school funds.

NON UNIFORM DAY – ‘Wear something Christmassy’
On Friday 15th December our children will be allowed to ‘Wear something Christmassy’ to
school.
There will be an opportunity for children to make a voluntary donation to ‘Save the Children’, who are organising a Christmas Jumper fundraising
event.
Christmas Dinner
Friday 15th December is Christmas dinner
day at Greenhill.
Suitable clothing in school
As the weather becomes colder, please ensure that your child has
suitable clothing for school.
Children will not be allowed outside at break/lunch without a
warm, waterproof coat.
CHRISTMAS CINEMA DAY
On the afternoon of Tuesday 19th December, we will be transforming
Greenhill Primary School into a multiplex
cinema.
Children will be watching a selection of
Christmas films in the classrooms. These films will all be U or PG certificates, details
of film titles are available on request.
School Pantomime fun
Our pupils enjoyed their second
helping of Christmas pantomime last
week as we watched the Manchester
Player’s production of Aladdin.
