We still have tickets available in a final fete raffle. Tickets are $2:00 each and all money
raised benefits the students of Ben Venue. This raffle will be drawn in assembly on Thursday December11.

FROM THE DEPUTY’S DESK Waratahs Super 15 Rugby Tour
This morning we were very fortunate to be part of the Waratahs Super 15 Rugby Tour. The trophy won by the Waratahs and a representative from the club were at the school for a short period before heading off to tour Tamworth schools in the afternoon.

STUDENT REPORTS – Distribution of reports to parents
We anticipate Semester 2 reports will be sent home and the end of this week and are committed to ensuring all parents have access to this information.
Last semester request forms for additional reports were sent home with students and information regarding the process was also placed in the Ben Venews.
Parents who completed a form and requested to have a copy of the report sent to them will again receive the report in this way in Semester 2.
If your circumstances or details have changed, please complete the slip below and return it to school if you require an additional report to be mailed to you.

AROUND THE CLASSROOMS
5D students have thoroughly enjoyed this terms
unit of work , which focused on the Gold Rush .The
Eureka Stockade Rebellion and bushrangers Ned
Kelly and Thunderbolt. A great time was had by all
on Friday on our excursion. Students visited
McCrossin’s Mill, Thunderbolt’s Rock,
Thunderbolt’s Grave and Rocky River for gold
panning.
They are excited about our end of year excursion
and party next week. Please ensure you do not
send any products containing nuts or coconut to

The students last day at school will be Wednesday 17 December
School Banking Congratulations to all the schools bankers who have helped raise $590.64 for the school this year, well done! This week is the last week of school banking and it will start again first week Term 1 2015. The tokens you have collected will carry over to 2015. Unfortunately the projector cup and swimming bags are on back order so are not available until Term 1 as well as any orders put this week. Have a safe and happy Christmas! Sarah
