Arctica 4804iq is a 48 port GbE Layer 3 switch in a compact 1U form factor, suited for both Enterprise and Data Center environments. The switch provides 48 10-BaseT/100-BaseTX/1000-BaseT ports and 4 1G/10GSFP+portsandoffersadvancedDCBfeatures.The system includes high reliability features, such as redundant and hot swappable power supplies and fansinforwardandreverseairflowconfigurations.
Arctica 4804iq implements x86-based control plane for easier integration of automation tools, and an ONIE installer for third party network operating systemsandcompatibilitywithSoftwareDefinedNet-works via OpenFlow 1.3.1. Currently, Cumulus Linux is supported on Arctica 4804iq and more software options are being planned in the future.

Cumulus Linux (versions 2.5.4 and above) is a network operating system that provides an open platform for customers, system integrators and solutions providers to use as is or build rack management applications on top. This is a true Linux distribution, it can be automated and managed using the same Linux tools employed to automate and manage switches and servers in a softwaredefineddatacenter.ThisintegrateswellwithITConfigurationandOrchestration,Automationtoolssuch as Ansible, Chef, Puppet and CFEngine and is ideallysuitedforrackmanagementwithfull-fledgednetworking capabilities in any DevOps Environment.
