Celebrating anothermajor milestoneA message from Cinfed’s CEO, Jay Sigler
During the 1st quarter of 2020, Cinfed reached another major milestone: we surpassed $500 million in total assets for our organization. We’re proud to have accomplished yet another significant benchmark – from our charter expansion in 2018, to our 85th anniversary last year, to $500 million this year…all achieved thanks to the continual support of our members and employees.
To share a ‘high five’ with our members and the community, we’re offering a special, limited time Celebration Certificate: make a $500 deposit and get 5.00%APY* for 500 days – and it’s available until 5/5/2020. It’s our way of saying “thank you” for helping us reach this latest milestone.
But make no mistake – we’re not stopping at $500 million! Our goal is to continue growing so we can keep offering you the financial services that meet your needs every day. To that end, we are investing in new technology, including Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs) at the Oakley branch which allow you to make transactions while connecting via video to our staff. It’s an exciting development that will make the process faster and more efficient, and we will continue to expand ITM availability in the near future.
Congratulations! Thanks again for helping us reach the $500 million milestone! *APY: Annual Percentage Yield. $500 deposit required to open account; Celebration Certificate is valid for $500 amount only. Standard restrictions and penalties for early withdrawal apply. After 500-day term expires, account will auto-renew for 12 months at the rate in effect at time of renewal. One certificate per member. Offer expires 5/5/2020.

rebalance into investments that have lost significant value can also make a meaningful impact over time.
Another thing to evaluate as you get closer to retirement is your risk tolerance. If you were able to take advantage of the above average returns in 2019, you may now be on track to reach your goal sooner than planned. This could be an excellent time to re-evaluate the risk you need to take and possibly reduce your exposure to potential declines in certain types of riskier assets.
Our financial advisors with Saxon Financial can help you evaluate your current situation, define your retirement goals, design strategies to help you reach these goals, and manage these strategies as conditions and needs change. Contact them today to schedule your No Cost meeting to discuss any of your financial concerns.

In 2019 we saw fabulous stock and bond market returns coming out of the bear market in 2018. As of the end of February 2020, we are seeing more volatility return with fears of the Coronavirus and uncertainty about the upcoming election. With the run we saw in stocks in 2019, many portfolios may be out of balance and taking more risk than investors are comfortable with or aware of.
As the stock and bond markets move up and down, regularly rebalancing your investments can reduce the volatility in your portfolio. As an example, if your retirement plan calls for an investment portfolio that contains 60% in stocks and 40% in fixed income, you may have 70% in stock and 30% in fixed income after 2019. Rebalancing back to a 60/40 mix could take unnecessary risk off the table. On the other hand, having the courage and wherewithal to
