O glorious Saint Anthony, you assisted many poor sinners to rid themselves of the heavy burden of their sins in the sacrament of penance; we beseech you, obtain for us the grace of going to confession regularly with true contrition for our sins and a real purpose of amendment.
Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be. Many prayers have been answered through St. Anthony’s

HOLY WEEK SCHEDULE
RANGERS OF THE OLD DOMINION We are in the beginning stages of forming a program for boys
ages 10-18 that will provide an alternative to the Boy Scouts of America.
Two parishioners have graciously agreed to organize and lead the new troop: Mr. Sam Pitts and Mr. Robert Brooks, who come to us with a wealth of knowledge and leadership training.
In an effort to build character and manly virtue they will teach our “Rangers” essential outdoor survival and camping skills that will help them to understand the value of individual responsibility and teamwork. There will be a priest spiritual director to ensure a sound religious component for this Catholic troop.
Taking advantage of our prime location near so many important sites pertinent to our great Commonwealth and Country, the troop will also be immersed in the historical context. Thus the title, “The Rangers of the Old Dominion.” We will also give due attention to the historical sites of Catholicism in the region.
We will be having an information night soon. In the meantime, if we have piqued your interest, please contact Fr. de Rosa at [email protected] or give a call to the office.

SANCTUARY RENOVATION AT ST. ANTHONY’S
For the past 3 years we have been developing a design to beautify the sanctuary at St. Anthony’s. Both Bishop Loverde and now Bishop Burbidge have authorized certain changes that will serve to enhance our holiest of spaces. The altar will be elevated two steps, there will be an exquisite new reredos, the altar and ambo will be made to match elegantly, and there will even be an altar rail. So far a number of you
have offered financial support for this enhancement, which we hope to execute before Advent. Note well that this effort will not conflict with the Parish Hall project (which is proceeding apace). There will be two concurrent efforts. If you wish to support the altar enhancement please contact Fr. de Rosa directly at [email protected].
Thus says the Lord GOD:
O my people, I will open your graves and have you rise from them, and bring you back to the land of Israel. Then you shall know that I am the LORD, when I open your graves and have you rise from them, O my people! I will put my spirit in you that you may live, and I will settle you upon your land; thus you shall know that I am the LORD. I have promised, and I will do it, says the LORD. Ezekiel 37:12-14
