What is Alumni Student
Recruitment?How can you be involved?
Alumni Student RecruitmentPurpose:
To form a partnership between the UK Alumni Office and the Offices of Undergraduate
Admission in order to extend the efforts of the Admission Office.
To develop new and effective strategies for recruiting and retaining students through the
volunteer efforts of Alumni Clubs.
Roles of Alumni:• Represent UK at events and activities in your community• Participate in or attend activities with Admissions Staff• Host recruitment events• Identify prospective students to the Admissions Office• Stay informed about the university• Provide feedback to the Alumni Office on materials, events etc.
Admissions Benefits:• Alumni extend recruitment efforts to regions we cannot reach ordinarily • Alumni serve as a key tool in promoting UK• Alumni increase name recognition around the nation• A way to give back to the University • Promotes the Alumni Club and helps recruit new members• Opportunity to share your UK experience• Means to combine past traditions with present developments• Keeps Alumni up-to-date and informed about UK
Admissions Office Responsibilities:• See Blue Transfer Days / See Blue Preview Nights• High School / Community College visits • College Fairs• Community Outreach / Diversity Recruitment• Speaking Engagements• On / Off Campus programming• Junior Parent Nights• Phone-a-thons• Assist the Visitor Center / Summer Advising Conferences• Maintaining counselor / student / parent relations• Maintain e-newsletters to high school / community college counselors
