New E-System Ships Tech Pubs in 72 Hours
(Batavia, IL, November 16, 2009) AGCO Parts and Service announce a new electronic way for
farmers to order the technical publications they need, including parts catalogs, operator manuals and repair
manuals, and promises shipment in hard-copy paper format within 72 hours.
“This is an exciting addition to the way AGCO technical publications are ordered and distributed,”
says Jason Marx, Vice President, AGCO Parts Division, North America. “It includes all of AGCO’s
current brands AGCO, Challenger, Fendt, Massey Ferguson, and Valtra, as well as heritage brands, where
older publications in original printed form are difficult to get.”
Marx said AGCO has created new websites specifically dedicated to this new ordering and delivery
process.
“Farmers can access our electronic ordering system through the corporate web site
www.AGCOcorp.com; the specific brand websites- such as Massey Ferguson, Challenger, Fendt, and
Valtra under the Parts & Service tabs; or through www.AGCOpubs.com,” adds Kent Butler, Director,
North America Technical Services & Support.
“When farmers enter the AGCO publication website and select an AGCO brand, they will be able
to use the site search engine to find the desired publication,” Butler explains. He notes that the AGCO
“Dealer Locator” is featured prominently on the various brand websites to give farmers the option of
ordering their technical materials through a local dealer as well.
In addition to current brands and models, Butler says the new system will use the speed of the
electronic age to put in the hands of equipment owners printed copies of original publications of AGCO’s
heritage brands including AGCOSTAR, ALLIS – CHALMERS, FARMHAND, FIELDSTAR,
GLEANER, GLENCOE, HESSTON, LORAL, MASSEY HARRIS, NEW IDEA, ROGATOR –
TERRAGATOR, SPRACOUPE, SUNFLOWER, TYE, WHITE PLANTERS, WHITE AND WILLMAR -
- many which have been out of print for decades. Additionally, AGCO is in the process of bringing
additional heritage brands on line by second quarter of 2010.
Marx points out the new system will give customers publications on a wide range of equipment
which previously was only available through in-depth research or a third party with limited or incomplete
supply. Technical publications available through the new system include operator manuals, repair manuals
and parts catalogs.
