2. Characteristics of Product
AUTOMA’s Control valves are designed and manufactured for durability, long life cycle and maintenance ease as follows :
- Double Free Operation : Heavy top-guiding ensures stable and optimized operation of the AUTOMA Products throughout the entire stroking range. The effects of unexpected system upsets or heavy vibration are minimized with this construction.
- Reduced Noise Levels : The optional multi-hole low noise trim designs provide single-stage and double stage noise attenuation benefits.Potential noise reduction levels of up to 25dBA are possible, depending on the specific operating conditions.
- Long Life-Cycle : Optional Anti-cavitation trim is also available in single stage and double-stage configurations.Proper control of dynamic cavitation conditions is extremely important for continuous high performance and operation of control valves.
- Lower Cost : Dependable tight shutoff of a control valve minimizes loss of process fluids, and can potentially eliminate the need for separate isolation valves. The optional soft seat design, provides bubble-tight shutoff capabilities in accordance with ANSI / FCI and IEC requirements.

AUTOMA’s Shut-off valves are engineered & tested for long life service under million cycle.
- Lower torque : There is no frictional contact between Stem / Disc / Ball and Soft / Metal Seat, which makes frictional almost close to zero, thus markedly reducing operation torque.The upper and lower journal shaft bearing provide high compression strength and low friction. So those AUTOMA’s Valves operation is very smooth and easy.
- Long life service : When the Stem/Disc/Ball contact the tapered face of the Soft/Metal Seat, a complete seal is attained, which results in long life service.
3. Special Process
AUTOMA is special processing control with welding work on the metal Body & Parts of the product asfollows.
- When found to any external defects, Casting shall be repaired by welding.- When repair welding done or heat treatment is required by the specification, after the casting has been
heat treated, the casting shall be re-heat treated.- Whenever a defect is removed, the excavated areas shall be examined by Non- Destructive Testing
(NDT), such as Radiographic Test (R/T), Dye Penetrate testing (P/T), Magnetic Particle Testing (M/T) and Ultrasonic Testing (U/T).
- All welding processes are covered in accordance with ASME VIII / IX by relevant qualifications. - AUTOMA’s welding engineers can choose from a variety of carbon and stainless steel to apply to critical
item areas for improving the performance and extending the valves life.

1. Design Engineering
AUTOMA design engineers combine proven engineering expertise with state-of the art technology,including Computer Aided Design (2~3D Auto CAD) and Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD) Programwith finite element analysis (Structure, Thermal, Fluid and Mobile) to refine existing designs and helpdevelop new products.
Specially, AUTOMA designers have used Ansys or Solid works to analyze fluid velocity, pressure and flow pattern at valve body, seat ring and trim,. etc.
The minimum wall thickness of Valve bodies and other pressure containing parts,. such as covers,extension plates are in accordance with ANSI B 16.34 Table 3.
The pressure / temperature rating for the Valve are in accordance with the appropriate class which is ANSIB16.5 or B 16.34 and dimensional for the face to face which is in accordance with ANSI B 16.10
