HAMILTON HOUSE
The Columbus District Golf Association will send $5 per player fromeach entry fee to the Capital Campaign for the new Evans ScholarHouse at the Ohio State University. The new house, located at52 East 14th Avenue is named the Hamilton House in honor of Earl“Bones” Hamilton. $5 per player of the entry fee qualies as acharitable donation for federal income tax purposes.
EVANS SCHOLARSHIP
Evans Scholars Foundation administers the nation’s largest privatelyfunded college scholarship program. Since 1930, over 8,500deserving young caddies have earned their college degrees through
Evans Scholarships. Today, more than 820 caddies attend collegeeach year as Evans Scholars. The Evans Scholarship was founded bygolf great Charles “Chick” Evans Jr. (1890-1979).

RULES USGA rules will govern all play except for local rules approved by CDGA.FORMAT Seniors must be male members of CDGA clubs to be eligible or a guest of a male
CDGA member who is playing in the tournament, and be 55 years of age on 8/22/11.Member must play with his guest. 36 Hole stroke play. Slope handicaps as of 8/15/11 will be
used. 8:30 and 1:30 shotgun starts, both days. Select one cart partner but do not list a playerunless you are certain he will enter. Net and Gross winners in Classes 55-59, 60-64, 65-69,70-74, 75 and up. No net score below course rating. Two sets of tees: 55-64 and 65 & up.
CARTS Golf carts and caddies are permitted. Players may carry clubs if host club permits.CADDIES The following constitutes a condition of the competition and is authorized by Appendix I,
Part C, Section 3 of the Rules of Golf. “A player is prohibited from having a parent, guardian oranother player in the same competition serve as his caddie during the stipulated round.”
TEE TIMES Requested tee times can not be guaranteed. Copies of starting times will be sent toCDGA Pro Shops approximately one week in advance of event. Contestants may check OHIO-GOLF.ORG.
DEADLINE August 15, 2011, 4 p.m. (or when eld lls. Max eld is 162.). No Tee Entries. NoFax, phone or e-mail entries.
ENTRY Entry is subject to approval or rejection at any time by CDGA Tournament Committee. No
practice round is included in entry.ENTRY FEE $125.00. ENTRY INCLUDES CART, RANGE AND LUNCH, BOTH DAYS. Fee will
not be refunded after deadline unless contestant submits a written medical excuse. Membersof Wedgewood Golf & CC may enter this event for $100.00 (20% discount as a host clubmember).
NOTE This event is purposely scheduled at the same time and venue as the CDGA Mid Am. Those55 and over will only be able to enter ONE of the events.
