Description: Basic Camp is designed to promote understanding of Alaska’s

Activities include Alaska Basic Hunter Education Course, firearms safe-ty, shooting, wildlife identification, fish-ing, map and compass, outdoor survival, basic camping skills and more.

Wild Rose Summer Camp is an outdoor educational camp providing children with an enthusiastic experience of nature coupled with a creative art program. Children will participate in many art activities including felting with wool fiber, batiking, plant dyeing on natural fibers. Paper making from plants, tie-dyeing, block printing, book making, marbling, candle dipping, water color painting, puppet making and pottery. Afternoons are filled with games, hiking, nature study, shelter building from willow and alder, plant and bird identification, insect and garden study, puppet theater and storytelling.
