• This female has a bright future in front of her. She is full of potential and has one of themost feminine head and neck combinations that I have ever seen in the Gelbvieh breed. Also, she has a nice shape down her top and has a great long level, square hip in her. Sheis a red April purebred female out of our herd sire Iron Eagle. He is a full sib to a greatfemale we sold in a previous Pick of the Herd female sale that ended up being one of thetop sellers that year. It would not surprise me at all if Bristol demands a great deal ofattention on sale day.

• A really complete and fault free April heifer who comes from a sure bet cow family. This heifer is double bred Nitro by accident, but not all accidents are bad. Nitro femaleshave been well received in several state sales and a Nitro daughter was the second highselling open heifer in the 2010 National Gelbvieh Sale. The Nitro daughters in ourpastures are proving to be some of the top producers and we have commercial cattlemenasking for more Nitro sons. This fancy heifer is sure to be a positive addition to any herd.

• Arata 39Y1 is a moderate, soft-middled March heifer out of one of the top youngbalancer cows at Dawson Creek. We love her for her correct pattern and her soggy, feminine look. Her dam, 39U5, is a first-calf heifer out of a maternal sib to Citizen. Thematriarch of this Arata cow-family was the great Arata 39F2 donor who produced over 60calves for Dawson Creek and Post Rock. She produced numerous sale-toppers andNational Sale consignments and has left us with a boatload of daughters carrying this “39”tattoo.

• Pippa has definitely been one of our favorite heifers for a while. It was always easy topinpoint this beauty in the herd this summer. She just has a flashy look because she isreally neat up through her front end, balances up very nicely on the side profile, and wereally like the rib cage in this female. This purebred heifer is very difficult to cut loose of.Her donor dam is one of a kind, and we have retained every one of her heifer calves untilnow. So, here is your opportunity to grab a great female from one of our foundation cows.lets not forget that her Crazy Horse sire has great EPD strength in growth andperformance.

• Hightower Cattle Co., LaCygne, KS
• This double black, double polled (Homozygous polled test pending) Purebred heifer hasbeen the pick of our herd from the time she was 2 weeks old. Ellie is out of our newlyawarded Dam of Merit cow and is one soggy donor prospect with all the eye appeal of aSolution daughter while having the soft maternal look of that we’ve come to expect out ofour Black Beauty cow, who is one of our best uddered females. This heifer has a greatdisposition and is used to little kids. Eleanor is entered in the National Show in Denver.Hightowers are willing to care for her and show her... just work out the arrangements.

• Bar Arrow Cattle & Blackhawk Cattle, Phillipsburg, KS
• This heifer is only being offered because she is a partnership heifer for Bar Arrow andBlackhawk. Otherwise she would definitely be in the keeper pen, so take advantage ofthis opportunity. Miss Decade is a clean made heifer with tons of top and a good hip.Note the incredible EPD strength. She will flat-out perform and add carcass merit to heroffspring. These Decade calves have been as consistently good on the road this fall asanything that I have seen for a long time. These cattle have a good hip, they’re cleanmade with tons of top in them.
