Today’s Adult Faith Formation session will focus on the “Promises of God” as found in Scripture from the mouth of Jesus and His disciples and followers. This session will be less of an overview and more of a Scrip-ture reflection, with sharing and time for prayer. What promises do you need to hear from God? We invite all adults to join us. We have received a thank-you letter from the Cobleskill-Richmondville Central School District: Dear Sr. Connie:
At its regular meeting held March 26, 2018, the Board of Education accepted, with great appreciation, the gift of $1,987 from the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Com-muntiy for the backpack programs at the four schools in the Cobleskill-Richmondville Central School District.
This outpouring of generosity from your parishioners is truly heartening. The donation is a tremendous help for the backpack programs in providing food and sup-port for families of our students in need of a helping hand. We thank you for thinking of our students and families in need and for your generosity and caring.
Respectfully, Carl J. Mummenthey Superintendent of Schools

If you would like to donate to the food pantry at Catholic Charities but don’t want to carry a heavy bag of nonperishables to church, there’s an easy alternative! You can write a check to Catholic Charities, being sure to write “food pantry” on the memo line, and place it in the collection basket. All cash or checks labeled “food pantry” go directly to buying food for the pantry. Catholic Charities and their clients thank you for your contributions! __________________________________________________________________________________________
From Pope Francis’ Easter homily: The message of the Resurrection offers hope in a world “marked by so many acts of injustice and violence. It bears fruits of hope and dignity where there are deprivation and exclusion, hunger and unemployment; where there are migrants and refugees, so often rejected by today’s culture of waste, and victims of the drug trade, human trafficking and contemporary forms of slavery.” Pope Francis urged Catholics not to remain paralyzed in the face of injustice, and he challenged them to “break out” of their routines and to let God in.
