The EU12 can enhance European Technological
Competitiveness
1. Increasing global competition – Europe needs all available technological resources
EU can face a global competition if it utilizes all available resources in all MS
EU needs to identify, acknowledge, make known and use research excellence available in EU12 and Associated Countries (AC)
2. The EU12 and Associated Countries can strengthen the European Technological base
Skills, expertise and creativity offered by outstanding partners from EU12 and AC can contribute to strengthening Europe’s ICT research excellence
3. Results of EU12 in FP7 ICT are considerably worse than in FP6 (and much worse than in FP5)
