The Announcement
• IBM and SAP Partner to Accelerate Enterprise Cloud Adoption
• ARMONK, N.Y. and WALLDORF, Germany— Oct. 14, 2014 — SAP SE (NYSE: SAP) and
IBM (NYSE: IBM) today announced a new premier collaboration to help accelerate
customers’ ability to run business-critical applications in the cloud. The SAP® HANA
Enterprise Cloud offering is now available through IBM’s highly scalable, open and secure
cloud. SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud will expand to every major markets with the
addition of the IBM cloud data centers. This is expected to enable customers to deploy
their SAP software around the globe in a faster and more secure environment that is backed
by IBM's proven cloud capabilities.

IBM and SAP have a long history of working together with a diverse range of enterprise
clients to deploy SAP applications on IBM Cloud.
SAP, the largest enterprise applications ISV, chose IBM as its premier cloud provider to
deliver business-critical apps to clients on the IBM Cloud.
Today's announcement brings together two technology companies with significant enterprise
client bases that face similar business challenges.
IBM Cloud is built for putting complex and demanding workloads on the cloud.
SAP is able to expand to every major market by taking advantage of IBM’s global cloud
footprint to deliver enterprise apps in the cloud.
SAP's enterprise apps will now be available in IBM’s scalable, open and secure enterprise
cloud, essentially tripling SAP's cloud capacity while generating a new source of revenue for
IBM in the cloud.
