An all-around premium

stainless cutlery steel. This

fine-grained vanadium steel

offers extremely hard carbides,

enabling it to take and hold

a razor edge for an extended

time. Zero Tolerance heat-treats

this tough and wear-resistant

steel to 57-59 Rockwell.

154CM

A high-performance steel that

holds an edge extremely well,

is fairly tough, and moderately

stain resistant. Heat treatment

will affect the characteristics

of this steel enormously; Zero

Tolerances technical expertise

brings out the best in the steel.

59-61 Rockwell.

14C28N

The overall highest performing

knife steel in the world that

still maintains the productivity

benefit of being fine-blankable.

It was developed in a

partnership between Sandvik

and Kai USA, the makers of

Zero Tolerance. Hardened to

58-60 Rockwell.

S35VN

This very homogeneous, high-

quality steel offers even better

toughness than S30V; it resistsedge chipping and corrosion,

is easily machined, and takes

a polish.

An extremely tough carbon

steel designed for hard use;

good edge holding capabilities;

not stainless, but ZT coats 3V

blades (for example, on the

0100) with Tungsten DLC to

protect the blade.
