• sunbears are eaten by tigers and if people keep cutting down trees the animals are going to die

• don’t eat KFC or TimTams because they take oils from palm trees and orang-utans need them

• that meerkats can give out a bark or cry to warn their friends that there is an enemy nearby and they will be gone in a blink of an eye

• that if trees get cut down more the animals die even the animals that don’t eat trees so if trees die the monkeys die then the tigers die and it goes around and around till every animals die and that’s called a food web.

• that the pandas Wang Wang and Funi are separated because if they are together they will act like brother and sisters but the zoo keepers want them to mate so they keep them separated and soon they will mate

• that the zoo keepers try to see what challenges the animals have in the wild and make things like that in their habitat and they also look at what their environment looks like and they make a fake one of that

• the chimpanzees because they were being really funny and when it was raining - the male chimpanzee was holding a sack on his head so he wouldn’t get wet.

Learnt

• at zoo school the history about the enclosures. I learnt that the enclosures were changed because the animals weren’t happy with their enclosures so the zoo keepers decided to change them

• the lions and flamingos - the lions were fun to watch because they were roaring and walking around and having fun. I also liked the flamingos because their enclosure was really colourful and peaceful.

• that zoo school went for two days and that is was really fun and interesting.

• about food chains at the Education Centre at the Zoo. I learnt that if one thing ran out in the forests, all the animals would eventually die out. All the forest creatures depend on each other to live.

• about animal behaviour enrichment. The zoo keepers give the animals some challenge puzzles and toys so that they can experience what they would in the wild.

• that chopping trees down can damage the animals in the area as they will run out of food and prey
