bumbags are fully stocked upon starting azone, however, only 21% feel they cant easilyfind stock to re-fill the bumbags.
A few tutors mentioned that how well
prepared bumbags are depends on differenttutors and the business of the centre. Lots ofcomments about pencils not being sharp! Alsolots of requests for more sharpeners, rulers, scientific calculators, green pens and
highlighters. 96% of tutors agree or strongly agree that
children know to ask them for resources.

Even when the books are in the rightdrawers, they can't find them as books
have been put back in the position whereyou can't see the names.
There are often problems with missingfolders/books - we need more drawers and
more folders as lots of new members just
have books floating around and no folder
Quite frequently folders go missing or are in
random draws

80% of tutors agree or strongly agree theyfeel confident with tutoring the new writing
targets.
I find it confusing when their overall targetinvolves something they do in the written
part of their session.
sometimes it's hard to pick a sticker that issuitable for the that you can see are
questions coming up
Some have two sets of stickers

93% of tutors agree or strongly agree they feelconfident with tutoring our literacy and mathscontent.
Majority of staff do not mark , sign or date work, which makes it difficult to implement correct
marking procedure when children areunfamiliar with them or it is inconsistent.
Some tutors unfortunately skip certain sections orjust tick digitext work even if it's not correct. Theskipping of sections creates problems by notjust confusing the child but they hate it whenyou take them back to another section, and
claim they have done it before

Every single AD who came back to us after
tutoring with their thoughts said that having
a fully stocked bum bag would have made
their lives easier... And we agreed!
Resources are the key to efficiency
If I cant find a resource, how can I expectmy tutor to?
Having a bum bag check list makes my life
easier

GIVING THE DECISION OF BEST PRACTICE TO THEM
Those centres who have a permanent electricsharpener in their office had a lot less grumpy
tutors and kids! A regular tutor jobchecking and reorganising
kids draws of written work System for restocking bum bagslots of ideas
out there, free reign for teams to choose but
ensuring there is a system in place e.g. Onetutor in charge? All tutors in charge of theirown bumbag? Stock before or after eachshift? One bumbag allocated per zone?
Suggestion of IT audit?
