ZIMMERLI DESIGN
since 1985
WHEREStudios
We are located in Warth, a small town in the beauti-ful Canton of Thurgau. The lovely nature surround-ing us is a daily inspiration.
Our second studio is in the city of Zurich. It is locat-ed in the up-and-coming western part of town, and work space is shared with other designers, graphic artists, journalists, and web developers. This excit-ing environment inspires us and creates synergies.
WHOFather & Son
Kurt Zimmerli has been working successfully as an industrial designer for over thirty years. He has designed and engineered a wide range of products: household products, furniture, medical devices, electronic devices, machinery, and sports goods. Twenty-five years ago, he established his own design studio. Many of his designs have become classics and he has received awards all around the world.
His son Fabian Zimmerli studied design in Zurich and Vancouver. He is fascinated by the relation-ship of function and form. Besides working on his designs on the computer, he loves to fiddle around with prototypes in the company’s own workshop. His fresh ideas and insights are a valuable addition to his father‘s long-standing experience.
Our main area of activity is the design of consumer goods, especially household appliances. Kurt Zimmerli has been working on electrical and household appliances since 1971, when he was employed at SIGG. Since then, we have developed products for many well-known companies such as SIGG, Stadler Form, Solis, Betty Bossi, Zyliss, Diversey, Karl Storz, Griesser, and Stöckli.
The large diversity and range of products in the field of consumer goods is a constant fascination and inspira-tion for us. Whatever your goals, we are able to draw from our extensive experience, and are happy and well prepared to explore new ground.
