Dear Danny,

VSO, CORDAID and the Zanzibar Enterprise and Sustainable Tourism (ZEST) in collaboration with

Uwamwima and UWZ invite you to participate in a Commercial Agriculture project. The workshop will

be held at Mazsons hotel in Zanzibar, located at Kenyatta Street on Thursday, July 19, 2012. Doors are

open at 8:00 AM, and the workshop starts at 9 AM.

The objective of this workshop is to:

Promote commercial farming by providing resources and tools required to jump-start the program

Enhance the relationship between commercial farmers and the micro-financing sector.

Discuss and come up with possible solutions to the current challenges faced by most famers.

There will be presentation about Commercial Farming Project in Zanzibar. After the presentation, we will

discuss the four key areas below:

1. Increasing productivity

2. Value added services

3. Collaboration

4. Micro-financing

We hope that you will be able to participate in this workshop. We ask that the following organizations

each make a 5 to 10 minute presentation about their organization: UMWAGILIAJI, Meli Nne & WEDTF.

It is very important that we know the number of people participating, and will appreciate it very much if

you could please call or email us to confirm your participation, by 10 AM, Wednesday, July 18.
