Flow – (Hydrologic Cycle)

Water is life. It is soothing and replenishing. It feeds and cleans.

From its solid state at the tips of a mounain peak, to its liquid state traveling through rivers and streams, to its gas state as it transitions into its smallest, lightest state of percipitation, so that it may be dropped back to earth to help replenish the planet. Cancer has a very challenging recovery cycle. A cancer patient must transition through all of the rough bumps and opstacles along the way, tackeling many challenges and watching their progress as they recover.

MI Cancer Center: An ambulatory cancer treatment center designed around the cycle of recovery, similar to the hydrologic cycle. As patients move along from stage to stage in their recovery, their process along the way will be fluid and flowing. Circulation throughout the building will be easy. The fluid circulation will aid in the reduction of stress and depression in the patients.
