I ve been reading a lot of articles on Yuvraj Singh’s non selection in the WC squad, which is the talk of the country only second to AAP sweep in delhi and how Dhoni is responsible for him not being in the team .The icing on the cake was the interview by his father who lashes out on Dhoni and his family(I don’t know how they fit into the scheme of things ) but well he seemed frustrated and also seemed high on some kind of drug.

Well there is a lot of talk of Yuvraj Singh’s back to back centuries in the ranji trophy ‘BRILLIANT ACCOMPLISHMENT ‘ & very recently his inclusion into the Delhi Daredevils for 16 cr

But here’s something to think about :

1) After scoring runs ,he dropped several catches in the same Ranji match .2) Everybody in the cricketing fraternity knows he is not comfortable with the short ball and we all

know wt would have happened when he came to bat in Australia with the bouncy pitches.3) Dhoni backed him in the final of the T20WC when he single handedly lost india the final by not

scoring in the 2 overs in a 20 over match .4) People seem to have forgotten the very colorful pictures of Yuvraj they circulated after the final

loss in the T20 worldcup and he also dropped a catch in the same final against Sri Lanka on the boundary!!!

5) Dhoni knows what he wants from his side and what should be the composition of the team during the world cup and I think he has done a great job .

6) Other than great batsmen and bowlers ,dhoni also requires swift fielders and yuvraj as of now doesn’t fit the bill

Now the following questions arise:

1) Is he fit to be included in the squad on cos he scored centuries but as a fielder he was below average?

2) Can he bowl with the same intensity as he did in 2011?3) Do we include players in the team cos we are emotional about a few people?4) Is Dhoni responsible for his exit , when Yuvraj knows he may not the same agile fielder or bowler

he used to be?

Well , all I am saying is that he may be a great servant on the Indian cricket team and has won us matches several times ,but let’s not get carried away . Indian team for the current world cup is very strong and is capable of beating any team and I wish them luck in their endeavour .

Well, lets just hope Yuvraj Singh is able to justify the his price in the IPL and we will see him back in the squad in the 2016 T20 wotld cup to be held In india.
