Deborah’s Place opens doors of opportunity for women who are homeless in Chicago. Supportive housing and

services offer women their key to healing, achieving their goals and moving on from the experience of

homelessness.

Deborah’s Place is the oldest and largest provider of housing for women experiencing homelessness in

Chicago. Locally and nationally, we’re recognized as a leading agency among homeless service providers. We

work collaboratively with our tenants, try innovative new approaches, and deliver high-quality services.

THE EVENT

Our signature event is the annual Opening Doors Benefit. Over 200 of our top supporters join us for a

fun-filled evening of cocktails, exceptional cuisine, exciting live auctions, and more. This year’s event will take

place at Ovation Chicago on Thursday, March 28, 2019 from 6:30-9:30 PM, and hosted by WGN News Anchor,

Cortney Hall

Tickets are $125 for individuals, of which $75 is tax deductible. Sponsorship opportunities start at $1,250.

HONORARY CHAIR

An Emmy Award-nominated journalist, Cortney Hall joined WGN News as a CLTV anchor in December 2013, and now delivers the latest news headlines on the 9 o’clock hour of WGN Morning News.

Previously, Cortney was a news anchor and reporter at WKMG-TV in Orlando,

Florida. Cortney began her career at Bloomberg News in New York City, where she

produced various morning news segments.

Cortney got her Bachelor of Science from Georgetown University’s McDonough

School of Business in 2003. She went on to get her Master of Arts from Medill

School of Journalism at Northwestern.
