How to connect with the power of your soulThe fi rst thing to do when you want to connect to the power and wisdom of your soul is to fi rst acknowledge that you are a soul, by placing your hands on your heart and saying to yourself, “I am a soul.”

The defi nition of your soulThe soul is the true essence of a person, whilst the refl ection you see when you look in a mirror is just the external shell; it’s not really you. In other words, the soul is the person within your body.

We are spiritual beings in a physical body, having human experiences, so you are a soul that comes with a body, not a body that comes with a soul. You were a soul fi rst, you were a soul long before you were incarnated in this body and you’ll be a soul long after you leave this body, so the soul really is the true essence of who you are.

The difference between the soul and the spiritImagine a car, and the outside of this car is like your physical body, the driver of the car is your soul steering you in diff erent directions and destinations, and the petrol that fuels the vehicle is your spirit. We live in a society where everything is technology based, and the outside world is constantly pulling us away from our souls, causing us to get caught up in the physical world. I’m not saying technology is a bad thing but a lot of people wake up in the morning, and they’ll immediately check their phones to look at Facebook, or emails, or whatever, so they haven’t even established their connection with their soul first.

Instead, in the morning before you step out of bed, just put your hands on your heart and say, “I am a soul.” This will centre you and connect you with your soul. So before reaching for your outer technology – mobile phones and the internet – reach for your inner technology, which is your own intuitive sense, your own soul.

How to let your soul guide you towards your highest pathYour soul is trying to get your attention all the time. The number one way that your soul tries to come through is in your dreams. Dreams may not be easy to interpret but once you understand how to interpret your dreams – through their symbolism and the emotion – then your soul is able to communicate with you more effectively. There is a great book for interpreting dreams called ‘Dreams, Images and Symbols’ by Kevin Todeschi, who is with the Edgar Cayce Foundation.

Another way the soul communicates with you is through your intuition, where you get a feeling you should do something. A third way is through synchronistic events, putting you in the right place at the right time. That’s your soul’s way of saying, “Go this way.” With synchronistic events, there’ll be a theme, so they will happen over and over again. If you just get the one-off synchronistic event that’s probably not from your soul, but when there is a theme, that is guidance from your soul.

Following your soul purposeMy soul purpose is not to be a psychic medium and author, or a radio host, or a lecturer, just like it is not the prime minister’s soul purpose to be the prime minister. Your soul purpose is not about what title you have or what you achieve in your career. Instead, your soul purpose is to be all that you can be, a divine being, helping as many people as you can with your gifts, talents, and abilities. So my soul may want me to write a book helping many people, whilst my ego would want me to write a New York Times bestseller. If you follow your gifts, talents, and abilities you will be led to the place of your higher purpose and where you are supposed to go.

The difference between intuition and imaginationDo you ever keep getting a thought, for instance, ‘I should call my sister,’ and then you push it off, thinking ‘I talked to her three weeks ago, I’ll call

your attention, this time in the form of a wake-up call. And a wake-up call can be quite dramatic. It can be a relationship that breaks up, it could be a passing, it could be an accident, or it could be a move of house. For me, I was in an automobile accident, which started me on this whole path of being a psychic medium and an author. At the time I was living in Los Angeles, and I was in a bad relationship, but that wake-up call made me pay attention. And once I did everything started happening to me; my psychic abilities, that I had as a kid, came back except they were now stronger, the right people were appearing at the exact right time at the right places, and I kept paying attention. I met somebody from England at a party in California, which ended up with me going to England, and I just kept following the signs, which led me to where I am today. So your soul is trying to get your attention in all those ways.

her later’? Then the next day you’re getting the same thought in your head, ‘I really should call my sister,’ and you push it away, but the thought keeps coming back? I recommend you call your sister, because your intuition will keep coming back. Imagination, on the other hand, will come in once and then go away, whilst your soul – through your intuition – will keep knocking on your door until you get the message. And if you don’t listen it will get louder, and louder, and louder.

When you are following your soul’s path through your dreams, intuition, synchronicity and wake-up calls, there will be a certain fl ow to it, where things become easier, doors open, and the right people come into your life. If instead doors seem to be closing, then it may be that you need to steer yourself in a diff erent direction, because if one door is closing another one will open somewhere else.

Is it a test or a sign you are moving in the wrong direction?If you don’t feel the power and energy in it anymore, and instead it feels as if you are fl ogging a dead horse, then it is time to move on. Of course there will be plenty of hurdles in life, as your soul wants you to grow and learn

connect with the ‘previous’ lifetime, because the memory is still there in the Over Soul.

The awakeningWe are defi nitely in a quickening consciousness right now, where a lot of stuff is happening to us, and many people are awakening out of the blue, where all of a sudden many synchronistic events are happening, causing their intuition to be turned on.

The time has now come for us to use this equipment that is inside of us, our psychic ability, our intuition, our soul, and that is what this awakening is all about, where we start to trust our soul’s guidance and use our gifts, talents and abilities in service to the higher good.

A lot of people say that they don’t know what their gifts and talents are, but the signs are always there. What are you doing when time fl ies? Are you drawing? Are you reading? What did you want to do as a child? Which people do you want to be around? Which books are you drawn to? Those are all signs of your gifts, talents and abilities. When you then follow these signs and turn your focus inwards and trust your intuition, you will move through this awakening process being guided by your soul, so you can live your soul purpose.

from that, but if it is a challenge from your soul you will still receive enough inspiration to move you through it, whilst when it’s just because you are fl ogging a dead horse you’ll fi nd that it is a diff erent feeling.

Your soul is multi-dimensionalI believe that the soul is multi-level; it’s not just in this place right now. Instead it is in your past, and in your future, so your soul is multi-dimensional.

There are many pieces to your soul. There is an Over Soul, a bigger part of you, which we can see as the hard drive. Then a computer folder comes out of the hard drive, and that is the programme that is playing right now as you in this lifetime, but when you are done with this lifetime, all your experiences and emotions will go back to the Over Soul, and then another piece of the Over Soul will come and live out another life.

This means that when a soul has passed over we can still access their consciousness through the hard drive, so all our experiences can still be accessed, and it is still connected to other souls. I don’t believe that when a soul crosses over and then comes back into a new lifetime, we no longer can
