March/April 2019 Your Missionaries to New Zealand The fire is burning in the woodstove, the leaves are falling, the garden is done, Autumn is flying by and winter is almost here! Amazing how the time flies. It has been a busy two months since the last newsletter. God is good! We were privileged to have Bro. Danny Whetstone and his wife, Darlene, with us for a few days at the beginning of March. What a joy to be able to share our church family with them and to have our people be blessed by their ministry of preaching and teaching. Before they left for Australia, the two new students in the New Zealand Baptist Bible Training Program came for the English grammar and writing class which Nancy and I teach. Later in March, Nancy had her Annual Ladies’ Retreat. Over 40 ladies came from around the South Island for a time of teaching, fellowship, food, crafts – just a good time of encouragement for all who attended. We have continued with our discipleship, Bibles in Schools, and regular times of ministry. As Easter approached, we were able to get into a new school for three weeks of sharing the Truth about Easter, the Resurrection of our Saviour and Lord. From why He needed to die, to why it is so important for Christians. On Easter Monday we travelled to Queenstown with three of our teens. One of our church families met us there and we spent two days letterboxing the Queenstown area with the gospel and an introduction to the new church being planted there. Some of the boys calculated that they had walked over 20 kilometers in the two days. It was a fast and furious two days, driving 5 hours each way to Queenstown, letterboxing for about 9 hours in 2 days, and squeezing in a fun Jet boat ride for those who wanted to feel the power of twin Corvette engines pushing us across the lake! God has been good! The church is growing, the people are growing, and we are grateful for all your prayers and support over the years! May God richly bless you as you continue to serve Him! Your Missionaries to New Zealand

The fire is burning in the woodstove, the leaves are falling, the garden is done, Autumn is flying by and winter is almost here! Prayer Requests: -Nancy's and Mike’s Bibles-in-Schools at the Hampstead, Lagmhor, and Tinwald primary schools. We also want to start a lunch club at the Ashburton College (High School). Most of our BLAST club members moved to the College and we will try to continue our ministry with them. -Kid's Club (Sunday School) at 9:30am on Sundays; Ladies' and Men’s Bible Studies on alternate Tuesdays -Our couples with new babies: Ian and Krista, Rogerio and Maraysa, Florante and Jenni, Randy and Ruby, Nathan and Obedience, and Sam and Michaela (pictured below) -Our young families we are discipling: Sam and Michaela, Randy and Ruby, Ian and Krista, Nathan and Obedience, and Rogerio and Maraysa -Ethan, brother of previously mentioned Sam, and Daniel, Michaela’s brother. Both are here and are being discipled. Pray for spiritual growth. -Discipleship of new believers, Leeane, and her husband, Paul. Nancy is doing discipleship with Leeane. -Door to door outreach and letterboxing effectiveness. Pray for God’s Word to soften and convict hearts. -Pray for our families to grow stronger in the Lord. -Pray for our young people as they attend the public schools – peer pressure appears to be as bad as or worse than in the U.S. – especially regarding immorality and alcohol. (Sheena, Ben (not sure of his salvation), RJ, Caué, Luke, Jacob, Isaac (unsaved), Lydia, Nikki) -Knowing what to preach each week in order to effectively allow the Word of God to convict hearts and challenge believers to actively participate in missions wherever God has put them. -Our new church attendees - taking the next steps in baptism and church membership -Pray for our Church families, their spiritual growth and effectiveness in reaching their unsaved friends and family. -Contacts we have made at local businesses. (Chris at the barber shop; Dave and Richard at the auto shop; Ivan at the 2nd hand shop, etc.) -Pray for us to know what to do about purchasing a building or property on which to build. -Stephen – Graduated from university. Working in Kansas City, looking for God’s will in his future. -John and Amber now married and living in Greenville. Continue to pray as the Lord directs their future. -Kelly, Dan, Sophia and Levi Cuthrell. Dan is in an HVAC apprenticeship. Pray for their family as they desire to serve the Lord in the Belton, MO area. -Praise the Lord for his blessing in providing our needs – God is good, all the time! Thank you for remembering us in prayer! Feel free to send prayer requests for us to take to the Lord on your behalf. God Bless!
