Younica loves life reflected in beauty.

Welcome to Younica.

Younica gives the rich artisanal traditions of Latin America a contemporary original form. Younica

believes in sustainability, in creating change by design. We aim to empower local artisans by providing

them with new markets, giving the world a chance to appreciate their distinctive craftmanship and

natural materials. The unique jewellery and accessories they create are marked by the fresh,

original style of Younica designers.

Our organisation is based in the Netherlands and Peru. We are a globally aware, cross-cultural

team who share the same vision and are committed to growing collectively.

COLLECTIONS

Younica’s jewellery is unique and handmade. It combines Latin American art and expression

with original design which appeals to the fashionable urbanite. The jewellery collection

is inspired by various natural materials: Peru’s pure silver, unusual gemstones,

and tropical seeds.

Younica designed the Spark

collection to mold the splendour

of Latin American silver and

gems into original jewellery.

This results in a natural

product which looks superb,

and also holds the healing

powers and different energetic

properties of each gem. Gems are

of great importance in Andean

culture, ever since they were

carried as symbolic amulets

during the travels and crusades

of the Inca tribes. Spark jewellery

expresses the natural colours,

shapes and meanings of these

stones. Younica’s designers

inlay each unique gem in silver.

Like people, each item is

individual and different.

Amatista, Purple gem Amethyst promotes physical and mental cleansing, spiritual insight, meditation, and inner peace. The stone has calming effect and helps to process setbacks and loss.

Onyx Verde, Green gem Green onyx gives strength, support, and perseverance and helps you reach your goals. It is steadfast and responsible and promotes self-realization.

Onyx, Black gemOnyx helps you in demanding and stressful situations. It is a grounding stone which gives support and strength and helps to reach your goals. It enhan-ces self mastery, steadfastness and determination.

Zodalita, Blue gem Sodalite gives you insight and helps you be true to yourself. It promotes self-acceptance, self-esteem and confidence. It promotes the desire for freedom, idealism, truth and expressing your opinions and feelings.

Rondonita, Red,Pink gemrhodonite transforms and stabilizes your emotions. It brings order to feelings that are scattered, imbalanced, or ungrounded. rhodo-nite soothes the nervous system.

Amazonita, Green, Turquoise gem Amazonite brings balance and is a strong protector against negative energy. It strengthens the will and helps resolve problems.

Quarzo Crystal, White Transparent gem Crystal quartz is a very power-full multi-purpose healing stone, particiular regarding self esteem. It amplifies the energy of all other stones and increases your emotional energy.

Tigrillo, Brown and Black gemTigrillo (“little tiger”) is a type of obsidian. It is a protective stone that points attention inward. The stone helps you to take a step back, to keep things in perspective, and to absorb information and reach your goals.

Quarzo Roza, Pink gemrose quartz opens the heartto giving and receiving love. It opens one to all types of beauty and encourages creativity and imagination.

SPA rk

The Spark collection is made out of silver and various gem stones, crafted into rounded and

abstract shapes influenced by nature. The matte finish on the gems contrasts beautifully with the

gleaming silver. Spark gives a fresh interpretation of the solid elegance typical of Peruvian jewellery.

Characterized by strong, smooth forms, the collection is bold yet feminine.

To create the matte finish on the gems, they are washed with very fine grains of sand and

then polished until smooth. Slightly harder 925 silver is used in combination with somewhat

softer and purer 950 silver.

The Lucky collection shares in the beautiful Peruvian tradition of the “huayruro’’ seed. It was used by the Incas to banish evil thoughts and to

evoke luck. By combining the black and red of the huayruro with high-quality Peruvian silver, we have

joined spiritual protection with beautiful design.

This authentic collection inspired by nature and folklore has a smooth and modern style, and uses an ancient traditional element in a way that

is completely new and unique.

CrOCHET

The crochet collection is named after the technique used to make this jewellery.

Normally used to create clothing out of wool, crochet is used here by Peruvian artisans who weave the thin silver threads entirely by hand.

The silver threads are woven around the gems in a way that allows the gem to still be seen, which gives a subtle effect. The silver threads are of 1000, the purest silver, and

the rest of the pieces are 925 and 950.

This collection is chique, sophisticated, and unlike anything else you will see on the street.

This collection is named after the extraordinary silver ring inlaid with gemstones which you can wear

two ways. The gem can be rotated and so you can choose a color to match your outfit or mood. This

way you have two different rings in one. We normally use onyx and tigrillo stones, but special requests

where you can choose your own gemstone are also possible.

Basics

Our basics can be combined with the pendants of every collection.

We have three different models in different sizes. The 50 cm chain is a sleek, elegant chain with a

smooth texture.

The 70 and 90 cm chains consist of tiny spheres that give the chain a feminine appearance.

Finally Omega gives you a very chic look; it is worn coiled around the neck, without a clasp.

changing de- mands of the market without the loss of their identity and originality.

Younica joins together with local producers, by showing them our own imaginative designs and encouraging them to combine their unique

cultural legacy with our fresh creative vision.

We are pleased to introduce these producers to you. Meet one of them: Sonia.

Sonia is an artist from Peru. She loves to create beautiful ornaments. She is eager to explore the possibilities outside her

own country but she has no access to our markets. Younica provides the personal attention and professional connections
