“I bought Pacific Wonderland license plates as soon as they were issued. When I was about eleven years old, we went to a museum in Chicago, and I saw a car with Pacific Wonderland license plates. Maybe that’s the reason I moved here!” — John Schoon, former Oregon State Representative

Remember when…A historic Capitol moment captured on film."The photo was stimulated by the oft used remark in the halls of the State Capitol that 'the Senate Republican caucus is so small they could meet in a phone booth.' Our leader, Sen. Vic Atiyeh said, 'Let's take a picture of our team meeting in a phone booth.' The six senators all had many years of public service. Vic Atiyeh became Governor, Bob Smith served in the US Congress and Wally Carson served as Chief Justice of the Oregon Supreme Court. Ken Jernstedt, a WWII fighter pilot and member of the Flying Tigers, later served as Mayor of Hood River."— Former Oregon State Treasurer Tony Meeker
