Can you effectively communicate with students the concepts of the following strokes: front crawl, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly; as well as non-competitive strokes i.e. sidestroke and elementary backstroke. Job Summary: The Assistant Swim Team Coach is responsible for on deck instruction and coaching of swimmers. The ideal candidate should have experience in competitive swimming and be willing to work well and closely with existing staff to develop superior skills, technique, and race strategies with both our current and prospective swimmers. Combination or elements of swim lesson, teaching, triathlon, or track/cross country backgrounds also considered. Ability to communicate effectively with children is necessary for a successful experience. Position:  SUMMER SWIM TEAM COACH Branch: Bryan      Supervised by: Associate Executive Director

Job Summary:  Exciting temporary part-time opportunity available for a Swim Team Coach to assist in the coaching and management of the YMCA BEARS Summer Swim Team Program for youth.  The Season length is nine weeks running from mid-May to Mid-July.  The Coaches are in charge of writing and running daily practices for a group of 50-60 youth as well as other various administrative tasks related to the summer season. Position: Personal Trainer Branch: Spears Supervised by: Wellness DirectorJob Summary: Under the direction of the Wellness Director, the Personal Trainer is responsible for helping individual members achieve personal fitness goals through one-on-one training sessions. The Personal Trainer must be comfortable with and confident training both male and female clients in all aspects of fitness. Position: Wellness Coordinator Branch: Bryan Supervised by: Wellness Director

Job Summary: Under the direction of the Wellness Director, the Wellness Coordinator is responsible for the administration of all wellness center activities or wellness activities (depending on the strength of the applicant) including scheduling and training employees, monitoring equipment and communicating repair needs to the Wellness Director and Maintenance Director, assisting members in use of equipment, and assisting with Wellness Department special programs and events. In addition, the coordinator may lead classes within the group exercise schedule depending on the strengths of the applicant. The applicant must be proficient with computers and be able to use MS word, Excel and be familiar with promoting programs within social media. The applicant should have minimum of one year experience managing/supervising staff. Applicant must have a flexible schedule to substitute in case of staff absences.
